Black DPC Polyethylene Flashing is a thick black polyethylene tape with an embossed surface that is used as a vapor barrier material . It is designed to prevent the passage of moisture in brick and block work from external sources.
A vapor barrier (DPC) is a physical barrier inserted into the fabric of a building to stop the flow of water from one place to another.

APPLICATION
1.Used in the building industry to avoid moisture. It provides a complete and permanent moisture barrier in the protection against water damage to buildings through the walls and brickwork.
2.Used around brick vents, timber framing, windows and door flashings.
3.The DPC can be used in both vertical and horizontal applications to restrict upward and horizontal moving water within structure walls.
4.DPC is unsuitable for use in applications that places high sheer stress on the DPC, such as restraining walls or high flexible stress, such as freestanding walls and parapets.
5.The DPC should not be used to restrict the flow of downwards moving water such as above lintels or within cavity walls.
